About The NAS
Business and Organization
Purpose
To assist the NAS members in their research and academic activities, the NAS established the NAS Research Foundation in 1986 with contributions made by the NAS members and the business community. The President of the NAS serves as Chairperson of the NAS Research Foundation while the role of Directors is filled by former presidents and public personages. The major programs of the Foundation provide research grants, subsidize academic meetings and academic exchange activities with foreign scholars, support participation in international conferences, and promote academic publications.
Functions

Provides research grants for academic research. -
Subsidizes expenses to facilitate academic activity participating. -
Supports researchers in hosting and sponsoring academic conferences. -
Subsidizes expenses for academic publications through the Review Committee. -
